Winter aconite

Postcard from Franconia No. 708

Winter aconite

About the creation of this photo

This is so called focus stack assembled of over 50 single photos.

Focus stacking is a technique used in photography to achieve a greater depth of field in the final image. It involves taking multiple shots of the same subject, each with a slightly different focus point, and combining them into a single image with all parts in sharp focus. This technique is especially useful when working with close-up or macro photography where the depth of field is naturally shallow. To create a focus stack, you need specialized software that can take the multiple images and blend them together seamlessly, ensuring that only the areas in focus are retained. The resulting image is a highly detailed photograph, showing all parts of the subject in sharp focus from front to back.

This image belongs to my project "Small Beings – Big Responsibility"

Midjourney's Take on it

On this website I want to showcase not only my personal photography but also - from time to time - I will share stunning renderings produced by Midjourney AI. I hope to introduce you to a whole new level of creativity and inspiration.

Midjourney AI is an advanced image rendering technology that uses machine learning algorithms to creatively interpret and enhance photos, adding unique artistic touches to them. A prompt is a specific instruction or command given to Midjourney AI to generate a particular type of output or effect on your images.

See this page for a side-by-side comparison between my real and the artificial world.
