Shot in Berlin

My father was born in Berlin. My grandmother lived in Berlin. My wife and I spent our first days together in Berlin. We married in Berlin. My mother-in-law used to live in Berlin. You can see why I love this city. It’s a place Europe keeps projecting its longing onto, and whenever things go wrong on our continent, all eyes turn here. As was the case with Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Needless to say, the fall of the Berlin Wall is also a recurring topic in this city – and something that has had a huge impact on my own life.
