Shot in Berlin

Welcome to this postcard series called “Shot in Berlin”

My father was born in Berlin. My grandmother lived in Berlin. My wife and I spent our first days together in Berlin. We married in Berlin. My mother-in-law used to live in Berlin. You can see why I love this city. Berlin is a European capital of nostalgia and whenever things are not going well on our continent, all eyes turn to Berlin. As was the case recently with Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Needless to say, the fall of the Berlin Wall is also a recurring topic in this city—and something that has had a huge impact on my own life.
